INFECTIOUS DISEASE?
INFLUKNZA IS MILD. TTio cases of infectious disease notified in the Wellington Health District during the week ended ill; noon yesterday were as follow-.—Scarlet fever, ':); diphtheria, 17; tuberculosis, t; cerebro-spinal meningitis, 1; influenza, tifi; pneumonia, 10; measles, 8; lethargic encephalitis, 1. The number of influenza eases is considerable, but the report is that all the reported cases have been mild. Of the number, 12 cases have occurred in Wellington district. The c.s.ni. case is in Pnlmerston, and the lethargic encephalitis case in Wellington. One ease of scarlet fever occurred in Wellington, one in Wfuwrapa, and one in Waipawa. Five cases of diphtheria occurred in the Wellington district, three in Palmerston district, three in Waipawa. three in Nelson, and one case in Stratford, Patea, Wanganui, and Wairarnpa,
