CO-OPERATIVE FEDERATION TO BE FLOATED. Melbourne, January .9. Tho Producers' Conference has concluded. The principal business was (lie preparation of tho memoranda'and articles of association, so that registration can be effected early in February, when active operations will bo commenced. Negotiations will follow for the purchase of three large organisations—tho Farmers' Co-operativor Wholesalo Federation of New Zealand, the Federated Farmers' Co-operatiVo Association of South Africa, and tho Australian Producers' AVliolosalc Co-operalivo Federation.. The conferenco arranged for preliminary investigations to be made by representative cooperative men in London, with o. view to establishing a federation there, with iho dual object of buying and selling. The first issue of shares will be three thousand shares at 4:10 subscription, confined to these companies engaged in the distribution of primary products.—Press Assn.
