THE PROBLEM OF UPKEEP. . By Telegraph—Presß Association. Pahiatua, January G. A conference of local bodies concerned in the upkeep of tho Mannwatu Gorgo Road and bridge was held at Woodville- to-day. Mr. H. Cornelius, chairman of tho Pahiatua County Council, presided. , The following motion by Mr. J. A. Nash (Palmerston), seconded by Mr. Barltrop (Feilding), was carried: "That tho Minister of Public Works be asked to extend the time for the formation of the board for one month, also that Ihe Pahiatua county clerk write to tho local authorities to appoint representatives to form a board to meet at Woodville on January 28." ■ , ,
