TIMBER MILL BURNED DOWN. By Telegraph—Press Association Auckland, January G. A disastrous fire occurred (it Hcrno Bay this afternoc:., when a timber mill owned by Cashmoro Bros.. Ltd., was completely destroyed. The flames spread rapidly, and being hampered by lack of water tho brigade had no hope of oll'ccling a "save." The estimated value of the mill and plant was between JZIW.O and i:5000, and of tho timber stocks .CIOAO. The insurances are understood to bo ,£SOOO. About forty men are temporarily out of work. ,homes'™d"destroyed. Blenheim, January G. The Tyntenfleld homestead, owned by Mr. Allan .Latter, was completely destroyed by fire yesterday. The inmates, including soveral visitors, had only time to escape, losing all their personal effects.- The insurances are not available.
