The death occurred at Cambridge c;rly on Wednesday morning of Mr. William Qualtroiigh, one of the oldest and most respcrlcd residents of the Waikato. Tho late Mr. Quail rough was 7fl years of age. Ho arrived in New Zealand with his parents when a boy, and settled with them at, the Tamaki, near Auckland. Police-Sergeant Trolley, of New Plymo utli. who lias been on sick leave ever, since Iho epidemic of last year, was medically examined recently, and as a result has'been declared unfit for service. lie therefore retired from the force as from December 31.
