DAMAGED BY TURKISH SOLDIERS. (Rec, December 13, 1.10 a.m.) London, December 20. The War Offices announces that the nigh Commissioner at Constantinople drew the attention of the Turkish authorities to damage to certain cemeteries on Gallipoli. The Ottoman Government replied that' it.was Inking disciplinary action against the offending Turkish soldiers. In order to prevent further acts of desecration and to facilitate the work of the Graves Registration units, the British Commander in the Black Sea region is sending Serbian guards to Gallipoli.—Aus.-N.Z.
