On resumption, Evans added 2 to his score, anil was bowled by lirice. Wliitta was next man, and 200 soon appeared. Both batsmen played forceful cricket, and made the bowling look cheap. Willi 299 on, Hutchiugs was tried, and Wliitta put his leg ill front of his fourth ball. The partnership had added IU. Head put on 14, and wa;i then bowled by M'Girr. l!nns came freely, but at 350 Jl'Girr got .M'Ewin's wicket. Thomas played a chanceless innings, and was accorded a lino reception oil returning to the pavilion.
