A COURAGEOUS CONSTABLE. Sydney, December ,25. Two tragedies marked Christmas Eve. A policeman saw two men rpiarelling in a street at Surry Hills. Before, lie was able, to reach them a shot was fired, and one of the men dropped dead. The constable chased the assailant, who turned and fired, wounding the constable in tho neck.
