CRIME IN LONDON

DECREASE COMPARED AVITH 1913.

London, December 21. Sir Nevil Macready, Commissioner of Police, states that ordinary crimes, such as burglary and housebreaking, during 1919 show a decrease as compared with 1913. Robberies are.now performed by experts, who make much use of motors, and this renders arrests more difficult. Murders and violent _ attacks have not increased, but similarity of method and sensational -features have attracted abnormal attention to them.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
