THE LYiTAN D. POSTER. Tho Auckland-owned Lyman DiFoster has been posted missing at Lloyas, tills event having taken place on October 29 last. The Lyman D. Foster left Nukualofa on March 28 with a cargo of copra for San -Francisco, and sinco then nothing haß been heard of her. -Sho is a wooden four-masted baranentine of 778 tons gross and 701 net. She was built at Port Blakeley in 1892, and is therefore 27 years old. Her, dimensions are:—Length, 184 feet; breadth, 39 feet; and depth, 15. foet 4 inches. She is owned by Mr. George Nicol and others, with Auckland as the port, of > registry. Bofore being acquired by her present Wnors the Lyman D. Foster was particularly weir known in the timber and coal trado between America nnd Australia. Her last trip un<kr tho American flag was about six or'Jsovon years ago, when she proceeded to ono of the South Sea islands under charter to load copra, for San Francisco. This business, however, was never carried ont, as she was blowfli ashoro and was abandoned. However, blio was refloated, and subsequently bqught by Now Zealand owners, who mudo her seaw-cthy; again, and up to tho time of this last voyage did good service. When tho Lyman D.
