GALA AT LYALL BAY
Preparations for the Victory Gala and Venetian Confetti Carnival at. Lyall Bay, commencing on New Year's Day, are now complete, and a most successful three days is anticipated. Tho big attractions aro already well known, and there will also bo mock eourls, judged by lady judge and lady jurors, jazz "stunts" anil sports, tug-of-war, dancing, musical competitions, Punch and Judy, and donkey rides. All that is wanted to ensure a great success is fine weather. Lyall Bay has all the advantages for a carnival of, this sort. All those who desire to assist the committee at the Victory Gala and Venetian Carnival at T.yall Bay on January 1, 2, and .1, are ashed to attend a special meeting to be held at the Y.W.C.A. Assembly Ttoom, Willis Street, on Monday night, when final arrangements will be made, and each lady and gentleman will then bo given his or her list of dulies B altend to.
