MINIATURE RIFLE SHOOTING
PALMER SHIELD. ■ On Thursday evening the - tic for the Palmer Shield was fired off by teams from the Hutt ami the Petone National Reserve Clubs. The former team proved the winners, and will, therefore, hold the shield for.the next term. Daring the evening Miss Wakeliu 'Petone Ladies) unci Mr. Kershaw (Hutt) fired olt a tie for Mr. Bond's ttopliy, the result being a victory—with the line score of 6S points —for the former competitor by one point. The two special trophic.s awarded to the competitors scoring the highest aggregates in the shield matches were nresent"d to the Misses Millwnnl and Wakelin.
