BBEAKING-UP CEREMONY. Yesterday morning Hie children of the Clyde Quay School and' their parents and friends filled the Paramount Theatre on the occasion of the breaking-uj) for tlio Christmas holidays. ' . Proceedings' commenced with the singin? of. tho National Anthem, after winch Mr R. Scott (chairman of the ocliool Committee) referred' to the record of tho school during the past year, and said that the Clyde Ouay School was onc-ol the best State schools in the nonunion. (Applause.) Mr W. E. Foster (headmaster) announced that it had .been decided' to stace a short concert. . . An action song by the infants commenced the concert, and was followed i»y a sonir, "Tho Sand Man," by the juniors.
