UNFAIR TACTICS EXPOSED
MR W. H. FIELD.CLEARED OF AN UNFOUNDED ASPERSION. (To the Editor The Dominion.) Sir,—l regret to notice that unfair statements are .being made regarding the sale of a farm that I formerly occupied at Waikaiiae to Mr.W. H. Field. In fairness to Mr. Field, I would like to stato the exact position. I sold my farm to a private individual in order to go into camn. and this individual subsequently sold to Mr. Field, as he had a perfect right to do. When I came out of camp, Mr. Field was good enough to write and offer to let nje have the farm back! but at that timo J was ill, and I did not feel inclined td resume occupation. I can see 110 reason why this transaction should bo used to throw discredit on Mr. Field,'and regret that for political purposes an unfair use should be made of my name.—l am, etc., W, T. YORK. Dannevirke.
