Cavanagh. Tho application of Mr. A. W. Fciiit, of Day's Hay, for permission to erect a motor shod on the roadway was refused, and it was decided to prosecute other ratepayers who had built slir-ds encroaching 011 (lie roadway. The Inspector, of Works (Mr. J. W. It was decided to take the'necessary steps" to increase the sanitary area, at Trentham, to lake in the whole of Heroiaunga. On the motion of Councillor Howell it was decided to obtain authority to raise the sum of .C.TOO for tho purpose of erecting workers' dwellings-for county employees ill the Reikiorangi, Puraparalinui.
