Gillies, of Hampden, North Otaso, won the_ South Island championship in both sections of Ayrshires. Other championships were: Airs. F. E. Hellycr, Jersey bull; Thomas Norman, jersey cow; W. D. Hunt, fresian bull and cow; George Anderson and Sons, milking Shorthorn bull and cow; John Nixon; Killinchy, beef Shorthorn bull and cow; estate late James Holms, Wnimahaka, Hereford bull and cow; Aberdeen Angus,' James Clay Bull; Bon Ward, cow.
