A NEW AWAED. A new award governing the conditions of work of the Wellington - operative bakers and pastrycooks and their labourers has boen made by tho Arbitration Court. The award operates throughout the Wellington industrial district, and is to be in force from December 29, IDIO, to December 5!), 1921; Some of the principal provisions are detailed below:— Wages are fixed as follow:—Foreman baker or pastrycook, £i sb. per week-; journeyman taker or pastrycook. -C 3 15s. per week; baker's or pastrycook's labourer, .£.l s*. per week.
