MR. I'IELD'S CAMPAIGN. Mr. W. 11. Field's campaign is proceeding very satisfactorily. On Monday ho iiddrjsscd a large and sympathetic meeting at Plimmcrton, on Tuesday at Paraparaumu, and on Wednesday at Te Jloro. In eiich case he was listened to attentively, and a hearty vote of thanks was accorded him. At Paekakariki on Thursday th?ro was mi audience of about one hundred. There irits some interruption at times, butufair hearin;; was accorded the candidate. Mr.. Arthur M Kay was in the chair. A vote of thanks and confidence was passed, but it was apparent, that a considerabi; number of those present did not understand the motion as put, otherwise tihey would have opposed it. After tho meeting cheers were, given for the Labour candidate and counter-cheers for Mr. Meld and the Government.

MR, MACDONALD. Mr. Evelyn Mac Donald, working farmer candidate for Otaki, addressed a large met-ting at Levin on Thursday evening. The candidate said it had been mentioned that he was seeking election on the farmers' political policy, hut that was absolutely incorrect. Tho only policy he had was his own.
