PRINCE OF WALES
'RECEPTION AT PORTSMOUTH AND LONDON.
London, December 1. A heavy downpour of rain marred the splendour of the reception to tho Prince, of Wales at Portsmouth and London on his return from his tour of Canada and tho United States: Four hundred unemployed participated ill the demonstration at Portsmouth. The Prince received a deputation of-three and cordially shook hands with tho men. In reply to their requests he said: "I will do my best. I very much appreciate your coming to me." Replying to- the official welcome, tha Prince said:. "Tho ■ tour, has been delightful and has been a most valuable experience; it will influence "my whole life. I return greatly impressed with tha value, of constant and personal intercourse between this, country and tho new world."—Aus.-N.Z. Ca'blo Assn.
