MYSTERY ABOUT GERMAN OFFICERS
BROUGHT FROM KIEL BY DESTROYERS. (Rec. December -1, 10.10 p.m.) London, December 1. There is much speculation n,s to why Bi'itish destroyers escorted two Kiel tugs with German' officers to Dover where they are strongly guarded. The Admiralty denies that statement that the officers are submarine commanders who have been brought for trial. Other suggestions are that the officers were trying to make a dash for America.—Aus.-N.Z. Cablo Assn.
