It is unoerstood that the new Note reaffirms the, attitude ©pressed in the former message to Mexico, and points out that the 1 United States considers the .Tonkins incident only one of many wrongs-which Mexico has failed to remedy. It is believed that the Note also insists that Mexico must give adequate protection fdr Americans, and expresses surnrise at. the tone of Carranza's reply. Washington, December 3. Senator A. IS. Fall, speaking in the Senale. offered a motion to sever foreign relations with Mexico. .
Senator Full is Chairman of the Committee which is investigating Moxican affairs. He alleged that the Mexicans have been actively distributing Bolshevik literature in the United States. The evidence already collcctcd would astound the world if rcvealeo'.
The motion was referred to the Foreign Relations Committee.
Senator Ashurst said that the United States oa'.'ht immediately to mobilise in view of the threatening character of the Mexican forces on the American border. For five years the United States had stood unheard-of instills, and ought at least to protect Americans within America's borders.—Atts.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
