BUTCHERS' DISPUTE
EFFECT OF NEW- AWARD. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, December 3. The decision of the Arbitration Court in tho Wellington butchers' dispute has been received in Auckland, and a matter of surprise to those interested is that by the motion of the Court it will apply to tho four largo centres. This changes tho situation in regard to the butchers' strike, as the award provides substantial increases in wages. The employers consider that no further conference is necessary, but point out that if tho wa»es are acceptable it is open to the mon to apply for reinstatement.
