RECORD PRICE FOR WHEAT
SERIOUS SHORTAGE IN SOUTH AFRICA. Cape Town, December 2. Wheat sold at Johannesburg fetched 50s. a bag of two hundred pounds—a record price. New York, November 29. The Montreal correspondent of the "New York Sun" reports that it is estimated that tho 1919 wheat' crop will amount to 168,892,000 bushels.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
