HUTT FLOWER SHOW

A FINE DISPLAY. Tho Ilutt Horticultural Society's Summer Show, held at, the Drill Hall yesterday, was opened by Mr. T. M. Wilford. 'Ihough on a somewhat smaller, scale than previous years, owing to the recent bad weather, the show was a great success, the display being a very lino one. lioses were tile outstanding feature of Ihe show, many part'cularly good specimens being among the entries: for the display, for which the IUI.R. silver and bronze medals were awarded.

The tatles in the decorative classes were beautifully arranged, the children under 16 years making quite a creditable display. Mr. 11. Poole's exhibit of ferns and pot plants attracted a good deal of attention, the stall 'being very tastefully arranged. The judges were: Mr. It. N. Wall, roses; Mr. G. P. Holder, sweet peaj and carnations; and Sliss Poole, decorativo classes.
