BOXING
UREN V. HEENEY TO-NIGHT. A full house is expected to witness the boxing tournament nt the Town Hall toniffhfc, when the principal event will foe a, fifteen-round contest between Uren, of Australia, and Ilreney, the New Zealand champion. Uren is claimed to be tho cleverest boxer ever brought over from Australia, and well worlh seeing,"'if only for his wonderful speed and. cleverness. Because of Heeney's defeat by dabby at Hastings, an impression was current that Uren would have an easy task in defeating the New Zenlander, but it must lie borne in mind that not only was Hceney opposed to a man with an international reputation, but: was probably giving away a stone in weight, which is a proposition not many exponents would care to take on. To-night. Uren will weigh about lOst. 51b., while _ll coney will bo a stone heavier, thus giving him the advantage of 2st., as compared -with his meeting with Clabb.v. The amateur preliminaries promise to provide contests'of moro than average interest. The box plan will remain open at. Armit's until 5 o'clock 10-niglil, while tickets for liack stalls may 'be procured at Perry's, Manners Street.
