HUTT AND PETONE NEWS

The monthly sitting of the Lower Hutt Magistrate's Court will lie held to-day. At the Petone Police Court yesterday, before Mr. J. W. M'Ewan, J.P., a first offender was convicted and discharged for drunkenness, Roses, carnations, and sweet peas are to be seen in profusion at the Lower Hutt Drill Hall to-day, where the summer show of the Hutt Horticultural Society is to be hold. The induction of tile Bov. M'Eenzie is to take nlace to-night at St. David's Church, Petone. Mr. M'Kenzie has recently returned from the front, and is to 'be accorded a welcome at a social next week.
