With regard to the acquisition of lot 10, the Education Board was being asked to inquire into the probable cost. Mr, Lukci said that the news that the Department was at lcnjjth actiiHT in the matter would lw very welcome in the Temce School district, where the playing area for tho children had. been very restricted. Lot 10, which is to be acquired, is mostly a rather steep bank that slopes down from Aurora Terrace to the back boundary line of the Wellington Club's property. Its awkward configuration is against it beins an-ideal site for a school ground. Lot 10, -which is also 'beinf; put forward as e. suitable area for school ground extension, consists of the property abovfr and at the back of the school, at present used as a home for chronic invalids, and fonnerlv the residence of Mrs. Henry Blundcll.
