. 'A SATISFACTORY INCREASE. ' J Thanks to r the recent rise in fares the ] four-weekly tramway statements to the Tramways Committee iu" the City Council are showing a slightly better state of affairs, for the four weeks to. November 10 the,-revenue showed an increase on the corresponding four weeks of a year ago, whilst- the working- expenses increased by ,£3244 on. those of the corresponding period of last year, 60 that whilst there is a net fain it is not so much as might have been expected far this time of the year with increased fares.
