While Bhooting birds in a garden at Wolverhampton a girl, aged 16, oimed at n blackbird. In the lino of iiro behind a hedge 40 yards away was a gardener, who was afterwards found wounded in tho head, and died a few hours later. Mr. James Evans, look-keeper on tho Grand Junction Canal at Hanwell (England), has just made his 50th Tescue from drowning. This season he has saved four lives and has been awarded tho certificate of tho Royal Humano Society.
