PRINCE OF WALKS IN NEWYORK
-0 GREAT PUBLIC "WELCOME. New York, November 18. Cheering throngs greeted the Prince of Wales on his airival from West Virginia. The Mayor, Mr. Hylan, extended the formal greoting of the city. The Freedom of the City of New York was conferred upon tho Prince and tho Secretary of the State of No* York, Mr. Hugo, presented him with a silk American flag. The Prince of Wales, responding, alluded to the close association between New York and London, on which the trade of the world so largely depended. The Prince visited General Grant's tomb, and then returned on board the Renown, where he is staying during his visit. Parachutes bearing the Union Jack and the American flu? were released over the river when the Prince arrived.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
