TIMMINS FAMILY RELIEF FUND
A committee consisting of the following gentlemen has l>eeh set up to solicit funds for the relief of the T.iinmins family;— Messrs. J. Downs, 11. Price, W. l J erry, 0. J. Loclnvood, i\L. JlitcliinGon, J. W. Nome, J;'. M'Ptirland (.treasurer), 11. J. Murdoch (sccietary). The family with ten children had recently to take shelter in a dressing-room at Athletic Park, and the/childron were committed by the Magistrate to a receiving home. Through the efforts of Mr. J. Dineen,. Probation Officer, a position has been found for the husband and rooms obtained for the family. The coihmittec has in hand at the present timo approximately i:100, and a number of lists are being issued so as to get in touch with all persons in sympathy with such a deserving case. All funds collected will 'be administered On behalf of the children by tic Public Trust Office, that Department having'consented to set up a trust and to waive oil commission for administering it. Subscription lists wiil bo closed on December 10, and the return of lists and receipt of moneys Will be.acknowledged.
