Over two hundred unionists 'marched from Hobson Street to Hellaby's byshop in Shortland Street, where the manager and the manager of a branch were working. The strikers "counted out" Uio manager. A plate-glass window in the shop was broken through some of tho crowd bein;? pushed against it. Twenty-seven police soon arrived from the central station, and a detachment of mounted police came in motorcars, and maintained order. The strike is pretty general in the city and suburbs.
