' % ■ CASE OIL FROM SAN FRANCISCO. - The steamer Parattah. left San Francisco on November 5 with a cargo of caso oil for discharge at Wellington, Sydney, and Melbourne. The .American schooner Wm. E. - Burnham left San Francisco on September 5 with a cargo of case oil for Napier. The schooner Planter sailed from San Francisco on September 9, laden with .caEo oil for Timaru. The schooner Commerce was expected to leave San Francisco last month with caso Oil for discharge at Dunedin. Tlio sailing vessel Monongahela is expected to leave San Francisco at any time now, loaded with caso oil for New Zealand and Australian ports. The schooner Luzon left Sail Francisco on November 10 with a cargo of case oil for Lyttelton. BELLBUCKLE SPRINGS A LEAK. The steamer Bellbuckle, on charter to the U.S. and A. Lino (Messrs. Dalgety and Co., agents), has 'been found to be leaking in her No. 2 hold. Last evening there was about Bft. of water in the hold. The upper part of the cargo in the hatch was for Wellington, but it has been discharged, undamaged. Tho lower portion 'is for Queensland, and comprises motor-cars and machinery, and it must bo more .or leas damaged. The work of pumping the water out was put in hand last evening. Captain E. B. Atwood, marine surveyor, has been appointed by the Sew York Underwriters' Association to watch their interests in the cargo. Not-being a British vessel, the Marine Department haa no jurisdiction over the vessel, and she ia expected to procced on to Sydney early next week, where sho will be repaired. The Bellbuckle is a new steamer, being on her maiden voyage, She was built iu NewJersey. Colvin. late ot the Atua, lias joined the Jlokoia as purser in placo of Mr, 0. Brayshaw. Mr. J. I'ogarty. has signed on aa assistant purser. Mr. W. O. Clarke, late purser nt the Union Company's head office at Dunedin,-, has been transferred to tho Suva branch, and will leave by the Makura from Auckland to take up his new.position. Tho Karu is to leave Wanganui this evening for Tarakoho to load a cargo of cement for Wellington. Sho is duo hero on Tuesday, and will sail on Wednesday with transhipments for Lyttelton. She ivill then go into dock. The Rccuius came oif tho Slip yesterday afternoon, and coinmenccd loading for Nelson and the Coast ports. Sho will sail at 5 p.m. on Monday. The John is due at Wellington this morning from Oamaru. She will go on to Wanganui on Monday. The P. and 0. steamer Morea will now leave Sydney for London on December 13 instead of December 16 as previously ad vcrtised.
