STEAMER PURCHASED
BY POVERTY BAY FARMERS' MEAT CO. ■. By Telegraph-Press Association. Gisborne, November 13. It is disclosed that tho vessel purchased by this Poverty Bay Farmers' Meat Company, LW., is tilie Admiral Codrington, of 10,800 tons. Mr. W. D. Lysnar, chairman of tho company,;6tates that hie company paid cash for tho boat, through the'assistance of the shareholders and the resources of the company, and that possession of tho vessel was taken at Port Said on November 7, with the full crew and in running order. The boat is being sent to Colombo to pick up cargo for Australia, whifcbjr she will proceed to carry oub an engagement, which was made prior to her purchase, to lift a full cargo of Imperial produco for England. The company wjll, howfever. from now on derive tho benefit of the full- earnings of tlie boat, and they Slave now absolute control over her. When loaded the boat will draw 28ft. 4in.
