Mr. Allan Wilkie, the English actor, supported by Miss Fraliswyde Hunter Wat.U rind his dramatic company, will make his reappearance this evening at Ih« Grand Opera House. "Tho Silver Kins" is Iho play chosen by Mr. Wilkie for his first production. In his choice for tho opening night Mr. Wilkie has hit upon a play which, has a preennial attraction for all classes of theatregoers. Full of sensation, it is yet fur removed' from Iho melodrama of the lilood-atid-lliuiider typo, and has long since established itself supremo in its own pnrticular class. The role- of Wilfred Denver lias been worthy of the attention of several of tho most prominent iictors ill the British, American, and colonial sliil'o, and many a world-famous iictiir has founded his reputation on his portrayal of the part. The story of "The Silver King" is of tho most enthralling nature, and in tho hands of Mr. Wlkic'e Company it is stated that it: <ioes not fail to hold the interest of Iho audieiico from start lo finish. "The Silver Kinir" will bo staged for five nights only, commencing to-night. It will bn followed by "Hindlo AVakes," a modern English drama by Stanley Houghton, which has not previously been stacod in Wellington. Tho box plan is on view sit Iho Bristol.
