The Government has announced that it is reconstituting the-Cost of Living Commission. The Government has fixed the retail price of sugar at .id. per lb. retail, a rise of a halfpenny, and has appointed a committee to fix the price each season, based on the cost of production. The Government is also continuing tbe imnorts and exports to prevent dumping.— Renter.

INDUSTRIAL AGREEMENTS. (Rec. Novemer G, 8.55 p.m.) Pretoria, November 5. The National Industrial Conference 'carried a resolution in favour of immediate legislation to bring about the registration of tho voluntary industrial agreements in any industry, the application of such agreement to lx> to the whole of the persons engaged in such industry. —Aus.-N.Z.
