MB, J. H. THOMAS ON ASPIRATIONS OF RAILWAYMEN. (Eec. November 5, 7.25 p.m.) London, November 3. Addressing the railwaymen • at Cambridge, Mr. J. H. Thomas said that tho Government had been informed that it wms useless asking tho workers to infuse a new spirit into their work unless they were frankly recognised as. partners in industry. "First, the railwaymen must have equal representation on tho boards which decide the conditions of work," said Mr. Thomas, "and next we intend to be railway directors, believing that Labour's .brains and experience would contribute to the solution of the employers' difficulties."—"The Times."
