DISABLED LAUNCH
PICKED UP AND TAKEN TO POET. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Wanganui, November 4. ■Last evening, the sea was too rough for lighters to go to the assistance of the launch Kingfisher. The cre-.v of the liner Tropic, at the request of the harbourmaster, stood by nil night with a lifeboat ready for emergency.
The steamer Mann, which was waiting foi' a lull in the weather, managed to get out at I o'clock this morning. She succeeded in picking up the men and launch. The men were none the ivorso for their experiences.
