At fclio Supreme Court, Frederick David Jones, found guilty on charges of receiving, forgery and uttering, was admitted to probation for twelve months, ami ordered to refund ,£l9, the proceeds of the forgeries, and £Z costs of tliu prosecution. His Honour expressed .tliu opinion that tho prisoner was probably the cuts paw. of another person. Robert' Knox Elliott, charged with discharging a revolver with intent, was found not guilty. Joseph Terranco Maher was found not guilty on. a charge of theft of ,C 3, but was convicted on another charge of stealing ,C2O from tho totalisator at Aldington. Ik- was sentenced to twelve months' hard labour.
