GEORGE STREET RESIDENCE DESTROYED. Fire completely gulled the sevenroomed resilience occupied by .Mrs. E. M'Pherson, and situated at the corner of Grant Read and George Street nt 10.2!! o'clock ins): night. Before tho brigndo arrived tho fire had a good hold, and the dwelling was practically destroyed when tho water was applied. The origin of the outbreak is unknown, hut the firo apparently started on tho ground floor, and quickly spread to the upper story, the occupants having very little opportunity to save any of thoir effects. Insurances were not avoilablo last evening, rt/l'ho house is owned by Messrs. M'Elclowney Bros., warehousemen. Protect yourself by installing the "Miiiiinnx"'l''iro Extinguisher. S.
