The annual meeting of the Island Bay Surf and Life-Saving Club was held at St. Hilda's Hall, Island Bay. Mr. H. liallinger presided. The following officers were elected: President, Colonel Hughes; vice-presidents, Messrs. J. P. Luiio, C.M.G., M.P., R. A. Wright, M.P., A. Menzies, C. C. Odlin, A. Odlin, J. Shorlaod, H. Balliugcr, A. S. Collins, 11. Gilberd, G. Clarke, L. J. Brabin, G. S. Hill, M. Beck, H. E. H. Bird, and N. Willoughby; captain, Mr. C. Mitchell; vice-captain. Mr. W. Coe; lion, secretarv. Mr. R. Small; lion, treasurer, Mr. G.'Beckett; lady superintendent, Mrs. Hall; lion, instructors. Mrs. Stenning and Mir. C. Mitchell; linn, auditor, Mr. C. Mayal; committee, Mcsdnmcs Stevens and Bruce, Messrs. Spriggins and Gibbons.
