A young woman named Ella Caroline Olive Jackson, who resided with her parents at No. 11l Mitchell Street, Brooklyn, committed suicide early yesterday morning by cutting her throat with a ; knife. Deceased, 1 who was -9 0 years of age, had been in bad health for a number of years, and at times was very despondent. Occasionally, it is stated, she spoko of doing' uway with herself. She retired to bod as usual on Saturday night, and between 3 and 1. a.m. a sound caused her mother to visit her room. The mother found the voung woman in a dying condition. Dr. Young was called in, but when he arrived life was extinct. , An inquest will be held to-day -.at 4 p.m.
