A. movement in favour of the separation of the Northern Hiver Districts from Now South Wales, and forming n ; separaato. State, is being pushed in view of the coming elections. The Separationist candidates arc receiving strong local support. The motive behind the. movement is the disadvantage in which tho Northerly District is ulaeed at having to subordinate its interests lo far-distant Sydney, whereas its importance and geographical position demand decentralisation.—Press Assn. -
