(Ree, October .10, 7.15 .p.m.) London, October 28. • An appaling story was told during llio trial at Munich of four soldiers charged with the murder of a body of young men who were arrested in May. The victims were members of a Catholic recreation club, who broke tlie rules of .martial law regarding assemblage. They were arrested and marched through the streets stronglv guarded from the populace, though the Spnrtacists made angry demonstrations. A shot was fired, and a soldier was killed. The crowd then surged through the courtyard of the palace, which was ir=ed as « temporary prison, and fired several shots. Seven of the prisoners were killed before (ho rest were bustled into a cellar.

Eight or ton soldiers, headed by Muller and Makowski, followed mid ordered the (nineteen survivors to lie 'face downward. They then shot at them with their revolvers. Muller (dashed about with a sword and bayonet, in demoniacal fiu'v. The soldiers pranced oiv tho prostrate bodies. 'I'liey were intoxicated with a thirst, for blood.
