Considerable interest is shown nightly in tho tug-of-war contests at the i'own Hall. Owing to the evenness of weights and strength' of contestants. Last night's contest wis between Quirk's and Duffy's teams of light-weights,. the former outclassing their opponents from the commencement. The' heavy-weight pull, Herlihey's team v. Cicary.'s, was won by Cleary's team. The winners scnled 74?t. lOlbs., and Herlihey's 7Cst. To-night's teams will be tlio light-weight division Italian leam v. Keenan's, ami the heavyweight competition.
The drawing of the second round for the heavy-weights resulted as follow-.— Gleesou v. Potone, Saturday; Munt. Cotirell's v. Sergeant AVade's on Monday; Dalton v. Clcary, Tuesday; Herlihey's team u bye.
