Mr. Robert Smillie, speaking at Bristol, said that tho miners claimed, ami intended to have, a fajr 6hare of the executive control of the mines. Mr. Harry Gosling said (hat he was not prepared again to confer with tho employers unless the latter realised thut the employee was no longer a slave, but a partner' Mr. Gosling added that arrangements were being perfected to give the workman a better chance nf fighting in the future, including the feeding of them and their families by the co-opera-tive societies.
Mr. Robert Williams, speaking at Newport. said that the and Ihe employers could malM up their minds that the workers would not accept any reduction in their earnings.
Mr. .T. 11. Thomas, speaking at Derby, said with emphasis that tho right to strike wai Labour's greatest bargaining power, which could not be relinquished. The railwaymen requested a share'in the management of tho railways, and ho invited the Government, to consider !'• pronosal.
