EMPLOYMENT OF RETURNED SOLDIERS. ■The employment of returned soldiers in the Public Service formed the subject* of a report furnished to the conference of tho N.Z.R.S.A. yesterday by the Repatriation Committee, which Btftted' that it found that many soldiers had been refused re-employment in the I'ublie Service on account of war injuries. The committee urged:— (a) That employment at a wage comparable to what they would have been receiving had they not enlisted should he found for them. (b) That u separate superannuation fund sulwidised by the Government be established in order to remove any difficulty in connection with superannuation, (c) That no soldier so re-employed ahull lose, by reason of war service, any animal 'increment to which ho would otherwise have been entitled. Mr. W. E. Leadloy (Christcliurch)t This refers particularly to tho Railway Department—more than to any other Department in the Public Service. The report was adopted.
