Itefpvcnco to a parasite which is destroying bluegum plantations in Cnnlorbuiry was made in tho House of Representatives yesterday. Sir. ffittv asked the Prime Minister to do something to assist in the eradication of the pest. Hr. Massey said that he would send an expert 'into tho district' to report. It might bo necessary to deal with tho parasite by the introduction i f a natural enemy, as had been done_ successfully in dealing 'with other pests in past years.
