KOPANE SETTLEMENT
Sir,--Mr. M'Chtre, Commissioner of Crown Lands whose report yon published on October 8, is reported to have stated that one settler took a gross sum of i£soo oft a thirty-one acre section for the year ending 19.18-1!) for dairying. In reply, Sir, I think this is a very danand misleading statement for the Commissioner to make, for the settler that had the use of his neighbour's scction and cows for come time. And I don't think it is right because w» are under an obligation to the Government for the Commissioner to publish our returns.—l am, etc., ICOPANE SETTLER.
