AERIAL SOUVENIRS

SERVICE PROPELLERS ON VIEW.

An interesting exhibition of aerial souvenirs in tlie shapu of aeroplane propellers are now on view in the windows of the Bristol Piano Company. .The exhibits form part of a collection of souvenirs brought out from England by Lieutenant M, Shaw, R.A.P., late of Wanganui and nowjof Wellington. Lieutenant Shaw left with the Fourth Reinforcements and served in tho N.Z.E.F. for about thrco years, and theu joined the Royal Flying Corps, ■ liich subsequently assumed the designation of tho Royal Air Force. The largest propeller he proposes presenting to the Wellington Museum. This particular propeller, about H fe»u: in diameter, has seen a great deal of service. All the others wore in actual use in war service. The largest of those on view 'Vas fitted to a Short seaplane used in the North Sea anti-submarine patrol. It is flanked by two biplane propellers, which havo been converted into handsome decorativu features by betting a b&rujisler into the hub. Two other propellers of different pattern aro of the Avro make, ono used on an Avro, nnd the other on a' Martinsyde scout, •' .
